Trail Running at Moeciu de Sus

Last week I was browsing through the web-sites of the most recent events that will follow in the next month(s) Semimaraton Brasov and EcoMarathon and I’ve noticed that this week-end there will be the official training run for the Ecomarathon. Since I will participate to this event I thought it would be a good idea to see the area and to get a first contact with this race. I’m glad that I’ve did it… 🙂

I think we were around 10 runners on Saturday morning/afternoon trying (at least I was trying – I’m sure the organizers have tried a looooot of times these route) the first route of this marathon. The Ecomarathon is composed from 3 routes forming the shape of the clover leave (check the above link for more details). This means that you will pass through the finish line twice before actually finishing (the third time) the race. This is a good idea since this gives you easily the possibility to end the race if you get in trouble.

I was very curious to feel the route and I’ve enjoyed it very much. The company was very nice, we’ve talked about the race, trainings, gear and a lot more …

The 14 km route took us around 2h:45 min, but nobody was there for the competition … just to enjoy the nature and the trails in a surprisingly warm Saturday.

I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

It was a very nice Saturday spent with nice people.

I’m looking forward to do another training there before the actual race.
